Acceptable Use Policy

How HorizonShield is meant to be used, in plain language. Last reviewed 2026-05-06.

HorizonShield exists to help organizations defend themselves and the people who work in them. This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every customer, partner, and authorized user accessing the platform.

What we expect from you

  • Use HorizonShield only for legitimate cybersecurity, threat detection, and operational defense work
  • Keep your account credentials, API tokens, and signing keys confidential
  • Maintain accurate organization, billing, and contact information
  • Comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of any data you process
  • Honor the privacy of individuals whose data is observed by the platform

What is not allowed

  • Attempting to disrupt, degrade, or overload HorizonShield or any system it integrates with
  • Reverse engineering the platform, except to the limited extent permitted by law
  • Sharing accounts, reselling access, or transferring entitlements without written permission
  • Uploading content that infringes intellectual-property rights, contains malware intended for non-defensive use, or contains other illegal material
  • Using HorizonShield findings to retaliate against, doxx, or harm any individual
  • Bypassing usage limits, billing controls, or access tiers

Enforcement

Violations are reviewed case by case. Depending on severity we may rate-limit activity, suspend the account, terminate the agreement, and where required notify regulatory authorities. We try to give notice and an opportunity to remediate before suspension, except where harm is immediate.

Reporting abuse

If you believe a HorizonShield account is being misused, write to abuse@horizonshield.cloud. Reports are reviewed promptly and treated confidentially.

Updates

We may revise this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes are announced inside the platform with a clear effective date.
